Design and specification
In-depth support for architects, designers,
specifiers and fire safety specialists
Support from the start
For those involved involved in developing and delivery the fire safety strategy for a building project, engaging with relevant stakeholders at the early stages of design and specification can assist with bridging the gap between design and as-built performance. Specification tools are an important element in this process.
From selecting the relevant cavity barrier and firestopping solutions for your application to determining compliance with regulatory criteria, we have a suite of digital tools and resouces for you to access, supported by a team of specialists who can guide you through. Digital components available to you from the very start include product BIM models, NBS product specifications, CPDs and a comprehensive library of standard details.
Siderise Specification Packs
Whether its Masonry, Rainscreen, Curtain Wall or Precast and Sealed system applications, Siderise Specification Packs summarise the relevant product information for the designated application.
Bursting with rich technical data, the packs are designed to enable quick access to valued formats of product information including Technical datasheets, Third-party certification, Standard detail drawings, BIM objects, Specification information and clauses. They also introduce our enhanced support services available at different project stages.

BIM
BIM (Building Information Modelling) is an invaluable process for creating and managing digital information for a building project. It enables all disciplines involved in building design, construction and maintenance to access and share information at the same time and in the same format. It facilitates collaborative working and can assist with the Golden Thread.
We are proud to provide accessible and free to download BIM models for our products hosted on two popular specification platforms - NBS and bimstore. Our BIM objects in the national BIM library within NBS Source have been authored to meet the requirements of the NBS BIM Object Standard (BOS), enabling comparisons and analyses between objects that satisfy the standard.
Select your chosen platform. Both are free to use.

NBS product specification information
Dedicated to helping you specify the relevant products for your project application, we embrace digitalisation and have partnered with NBS Source and NBS Chorus to provide you with a suite of concise product specifications.
Valued formats of product data can be obtained from the Siderise page within NBS Source and added directly into your NBS Chorus project specification.
Our free-of-charge technical support for façade passive fire protection can help you Go Beyond Gateway 2
The UK construction industry is facing challenges at BSA Gateway 2. At Siderise we recognise the best way we can help you progress through Gateway 2, and champion building safety, is to arm those who specify and install our products with proven, technical information and support.
Standard details library
Standard detail drawings are useful examples of typical scenarios and can help design teams at the beginning of a building project. Our library catalogues the many possible applications for our passive fire protection and noise control solutions and includes tested and third-party certified details.
Our downloadable standard detail drawings provide clarity on the application of our cavity barriers, firestops and cavity trays, highlighting ancillary material and installation requirements.
CPD
CPD (Continuous Professional Development) is fundamental to maintaining and developing professional competence and achieving higher standards, especially in the fire and life safety arena. Design and construction professionals seeking to build the breadth and depth of knowledge and enhance their understanding of passive fire protection can take advantage of our CPD series.
Our technical team of passive fire protection experts can deliver CPD seminars, online or in-person, on a range of topics and different product applications, outlining key specification essentials. This includes RIBA accredited CPD.
