Siderise MC Mullion Cover
Decorative curtain wall mullion liner for enhanced acoustic or acoustic and fire performance
External mullion sound insulation
MC Mullion Cover provides a simple means to limiting noise transmission where curtain wall mullions abut with room partitions. Fitted on the external face of mullions, it offers an easy to install solution where internal mullion liners are impractical. The covers are suitable for use on both stick and unitised curtain wall systems, for mullion sizes from 80mm to 250mm. A fire rated version is available, this can offer 120 mins (E) Integrity and 120 minutes (I) Insulation for mullions up to 205mm wide.

The Siderise MC System is an external treatment to the mullions, therefore simple to fit and suitable for use on both new build and fit out projects. Detailed step-by-step fitting instructions can be viewed on our installation documents.
The male and female cover plates within the system are available in two stocked colours: white RAL 9016 and dark grey RAL 7016. It is also possible to supply any RAL colour; contact the SSPL technical team to discuss your requirements.
The Siderise MC System is designed for use on mullions only, where partitions abut. This is because the system relies on protrusions either side of the mullion, such as the partition edge and glazing, for correct fitting.
It is supplied in sets that will treat both sides of the mullion up to 3m; therefore, if the treatment height is more than 3m, additional sets can be purchased and would be installed with a horizontal joint in the cover plate. Please contact the SSPL technical team, who will be able to provide you with further guidance.
Standard details are available in pdf format. Please contact the SSPL technical team for the CAD drawings in Dwg or Dxf format.
