Siderise releases first Sustainability Report

In addition to sharing the company’s achievements within its ESG strategy, it outlines its ambitions for continued growth

Siderise Sustainability Report 2024

Global manufacturer of passive fire protection and acoustic solutions, Siderise, has released its first annual sustainability report. In addition to sharing the company’s achievements within its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy, it outlines its ambitions for continued growth with a clear focus on both safety and sustainability.

The report looks in detail at each of the company’s four ESG strategy pillars: Planet, People, Product, and Policy. As the company’s first public sustainability report, it outlines clear benchmarks in these crucial areas, identifying short and medium-term priorities that ensure business operations and ambitions align with recognised Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Key highlights include the launch of a Lean Six Sigma project to reduce manufacturing waste, achieving the company’s first Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for its best-selling RH Horizontal ‘Open State’ Cavity Barrier, and opening its new £1m Innovation Centre at its headquarters in Maesteg, South Wales. It also outlines how the company has begun to tackle its scope 1 and 2 emissions to achieve its aim of being net-zero by 2030.

Adam Turk, CEO of Siderise, explained the significance of this milestone:

“At Siderise, we are driven by a bold mission: to go beyond, contributing to safer buildings. In addition to creating high quality products that market and rely on, a key part of this is protecting the environment and communities around us. This sustainability report not only stands as testament to the hard work of our ESG Manager, Sera Turkoglu, and teams across the globe over the last 12 months, but to the legacy within Siderise of always striving for 'integrity in all we do.' I am thrilled to share our achievements with our employees, customers, and the wider industry and look forward to getting into the work that will make us a truly sustainable and successful business.”
