FIP High Performance Acoustic Panel has been specially developed to prevent noise transmission at the junction between internal partitions and curtain walls or window mullions. With an acoustic performance of 46dB Rw at a thickness of just 31mm, it provides a slim solution where high SRI performance is needed. Its elastomeric core is bonded between two high mass cementitious boards, ensuring good performance at lower frequencies (stiffness and dampening controlled regions) and no ‘drop-off’ due to coincidence dip.

Is Siderise FIP panel supplied pre-cut?

We supply cut to the correct width in standard lengths of 2.4m. Site cutting may be necessary for small, localised areas, such as around skirting boards or cutting to length. Please view the additional cutting information on the installation guidance.

What if the area to be treated is above 2.4m?

This is possible by using two panels, butt-jointed, with the smaller length panel placed above the full length piece. 

How is the FIP fixed into place?

The most common method of fixing is with a 2mm steel C channel mechanically fixed to the mullion, head, and floor. The FIP board is cut to length and slid into the sections and the partition is constructed to oversail the board by a predesigned length.  

Is the FIP a finished product?

The outer finish of the panels is not decorative and intended to be decorated after installation.
