Our approach
Our unique approach enables us to achieve our mission to Go Beyond in helping to contribute to safer buildings
Technically led
We recognise our responsibility to do more than manufacture reliable products. This means understanding where and why our products are used, and how we can support best-practice specification and installation.
By creating an extensive and freely available technical service wrapper around our offering, we work with you, for you, from the earliest design stages right through to handover.
Our technical and site services teams are some of the most well-resourced and highly trained in the industry, with over 30% of our global workforce coming from technical backgrounds. This in-house experience, paired with a huge amount of test data and practical knowledge allows us to uphold our reputation as a trusted partner, adding real value to the projects we work on with you.
Customer driven
Every manufacturer wants to create quality products. It is vital that they deliver excellent performance, that this performance is validated, and that the products are practical to use.
At Siderise, new product ideas are often born from collaboration with project partners and the real-life challenges they face. From engineering vertical-fibre stone wool Lamella insulation using a patented manufacturing process in the 1990s, through to being the first manufacturer to produce a dry fit curtain wall firestop that has been movement cycled before fire testing in a construction that represents the ‘as built’ condition, our solutions go beyond the norm.
We implement strict quality control measures and automated processes that build in pre-compression. Checked in our state-of-the-art Quality Control Lab, we ensure that all our products offer outstanding performance and excellent durability.
Compliance focused
Working in safety-critical industries means that we must always uphold the highest standards of integrity. From pursuing relevant ISO standards to being an early engager with the Code for Construction Product Information (CCPI), we constantly look for ways to verify that our business practice is honest and transparent.
Testing and third-party certification are the cornerstone of our offering, and we invest heavily in ensuring that all of our products go beyond the relevant standards wherever possible. We aim to achieve 10% above what a standard stipulates, so that you can rely on our solutions when it really matters.
In 2023, we opened our own £1m Innovation Centre. With a specialist fire test furnace, this cutting-edge facility has enabled us to expand our in-house quality control and enhance our R&D explorations.
Competency committed
We believe that for customer service to be useful, accurate and accessible, it must be delivered by competent people.
All job roles have been assessed using a SKEB matrix (Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Behaviour) and our employees in customer facing roles undergo formalised training to ensure a baseline level of product knowledge, with ongoing upskilling for technical staff with professional qualifications provided by the IFE (Institution of Fire Engineers).
This not only improves customer interactions but creates passionate and confident fire safety advocates throughout our business.
