Purpose of this position
To co-ordinate and ensure the completion of projects on time, within budget and within scope. To support and influence assigned project activities across the group. Work to deadlines, ensure appropriate coordination of responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of project to the Executive team..
Key responsibilities
- Assist in the definition of project scoping and documentation completion, involving all relevant internal stakeholders, ensuring that the agreed Siderise project documentation is completed fully and where appropriate submitted accurately to the Rock Project Steering Committee.
- Liaising with project sponsors and external clients (where necessary) to identify the project scope, requirements, timelines, and costs. Noting that all project budgets are managed by the Siderise Project Sponsor, at a director’s level.
- Coordinate internal resources for the flawless execution of multiple projects.
- Support the development of detailed project plans to guide the project team and external parties through the project journey to ensure the project remains on track. Revising based on changing needs and requirements.
- Identifying and assigning project tasks based on the strengths and skills of the staff member, as well as their available capacity. Working with ‘Co-Agreements` for realistic and fair timelines.
- Monitoring project performance to ensure timely delivery. Supporting the project sponsor and project leads with regards to any dips in progress, or project risks or concerns.
- Compiling and submitting/presenting project status reports to the Siderise Executive team on a scheduled basis.
- Working effectively with relevant stakeholders, internal and external, for efficient project implementation.
- Developing excellent leadership, client/supplier relations and communication skills to liaise effectively with all project members and stakeholders.
- Contribute to the continuous business improvement process and to the meeting of business objectives.
- To be an ambassador for the company at all times internally and externally.

Qualifications
- Preferred - Lean Six Sigma (Minimum Green Belt)
- Preferred - Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification.
- Preferred - Degree level education in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
- Proven working experience operating as a project manager preferably in a manufacturing industry.
- Experienced in initiating projects, planning, delegating, managing and risk mitigation.
